"The employer dashboard is super easy to use"
I’ve been using SEEK to post a few roles, the employer dashboard has made the whole process really straightforward. I can check applications, update job ads, and message candidates without having to hunt around too much. It took me a little while to figure out where everything was at first, but now it feels quick and easy. It’s definitely been a time-saver for hiring

"I've been using it for a little while…"
I've been using it for a little while now, and overall it gets the job done. The only thing I've noticed is that it can load slowly sometimes, especially when I'm in a hurry. But after a few weeks of using it, I’d say it still does what I need it to do.

"I posted a job ad and it got..."
I posted a job ad and it got approved faster than I expected, so that part was smooth. It wasn’t instant, but still quicker than I thought it would be. The only thing is, I kind of felt ignored while waiting because there weren’t really clear updates on what was happening. A little more communication would make the process feel much better.

"I mostly use Seek just to snoop..."
I mostly use Seek just to snoop through company reviews before I bother applying anywhere. I’m tired of walking into jobs with no clue what the culture or management is actually like, so having people spell out their experiences helps a lot. It’s not always perfect, and some of the reviews are annoyingly outdated, which makes it harder to know what’s still true. But overall, it’s still way better than guessing and hoping for the best.

"Helpful app, but the alerts get out of hand"
Seek is definitely handy when I’m looking around for jobs, and to be fair, maybe I’m partly to blame because I check the app often anyway. But the notifications can get a bit much after a while.

I tried changing the alert frequency and turning off a few things, but I still seem to get emails and push notifications that feel repeated or not really what I asked for. Maybe I didn’t set it up perfectly, but it starts to get annoying quickly when I’m already looking through listings myself.

I just wish the notification settings were easier to understand and actually stayed the way I set them. It’s not a bad app at all, and maybe I’m just picky with alerts, but that part could definitely use some work.

"Bad first impression, and the advice wasn’t very helpful"
I checked out the career advice hoping it would actually give me some direction, but it made a bad first impression. A lot of it felt super basic, like stuff you’ve already heard a hundred times. It didn’t really help with practical things like fixing my resume or figuring out what steps to take next. I was expecting something more useful, but it just didn’t do much for me

"Too pricey for the number of applicants"
I expected way more applicants for what I paid. I’m not saying the service is totally useless, but for the cost, the results just didn’t feel worth it. You put money into something like this hoping it’ll actually bring in a decent number of people, and then when it doesn’t, it’s frustrating. Just feels like the price is a bit much for the return.

"I’ve used SEEK quite a bit now…"
I’ve used SEEK quite a bit now, i’m happy with how little scammy stuff I come across. I still double-check listings myself, just to be safe, but I don’t usually see loads of dodgy posts or those weird “pay first” job ads. I reported one job that looked fake a while back, and it was taken down surprisingly quickly, which was kind of reassuring. It’s not perfect, but compared to a few other job sites I’ve tried, SEEK definitely feels like one of the safer ones.

"I didn’t have any major issues managing my…"
I didn’t have any major issues managing my account on seek.com.au. Updating my profile, resume, and job preferences was fairly straightforward, and the changes showed up after a minute or so. The only annoying part was that a few settings, like email alerts and privacy options, felt a bit tucked away. It probably took me 5 or 10 minutes to find everything. Overall, it does the job fine for what I need.

"The search works well most of the time…"
The search works well most of the time, and the filters are really helpful for cutting out things I’m not interested in. Every now and then the location results feel a little too broad, but that’s not a huge deal. For everyday use, it’s easy to figure out and saves me time, which is really what matters.

"A lot of scrolling for not much payoff"
Most of the jobs I click on feel old or kind of vague, and half the time they don’t even match what I searched for. There are a lot of reposts and recruiter spam too. I don’t know, there’s something about it that just makes the whole process feel like you’re scrolling forever before you find anything that seems real.

"So many applicants, almost too many"
I posted a role on Seek i did not expect that many people to apply so quickly. Within a couple of days, my inbox was basically flooded. Sure, not every applicant was the perfect fit, but that’s always going to happen, isn’t it? At least there were plenty of decent options to sort through, which made the whole hiring process way easier than I thought it would be.

"Easy to use, but the lack of replies is frustrating"
I’ve applied for so many jobs on Seek, most employers just never get back to you. Even a quick rejection email would be better than sitting there hearing nothing. The site itself is straightforward and easy to use, but the response rate is really disappointing. It can feel like you’re putting in all this effort just to send applications into a black hole, which doesn’t feel great or particularly fair

"Sales Team Talked Big, Onboarding Was a Mess"
The sales team was super eager and promised a lot, but once I signed up, onboarding felt rushed and kind of chaotic. It was like dealing with a bunch of amateurs who hadn’t figured out their own process. Not the best first impression, tbh.

"Okay for job hunting, but I felt silly trusting the listings"
Seek is decent enough for finding jobs, but I felt a bit stupid for trusting some of the listings to give me the full picture. So many of them just say things like “competitive salary” or “depends on experience,” which doesn’t really help when you’re trying to decide if it’s even worth applying. It would save so much time if the pay was clear upfront. I still use the site because it’s useful, but it could definitely be a lot better

"Application status could be clearer"
SEEK is alright for job hunting, but the application status could definitely be clearer. Sometimes it just kind of sits there and you’re left wondering if the employer has even seen it or not. Compared to some other sites, it feels like… I don’t know, just a bit vague. It gets frustrating after you’ve taken the time to apply

"So, I never heard back from support"
so I reached out to support and waited a few days, but I still never got a proper reply. Frustrating, honestly.

"We posted a job recently most of the..."
We posted a job recently most of the applicants weren’t even close to what we were looking for. A lot of them had no relevant experience at all, and a few didn’t even respond after applying. It felt like we paid just to dig through a pile of random resumes. What made it more frustrating was the lack of human contact — no real person checking in or helping us sort out what was going on. Disappointing experience overall...

"Pretty fair overall with the review checks"
I’ve used seek.com.au a few times, the review checking seems fair to me. My review didn’t show up straight away, which was a bit annoying at first, but then again, I get why they’d want to look things over before posting them. It felt more like they were trying to stop fake or unfair reviews rather than just shutting people down. Could be quicker, sure, but yeah, not really a big deal for me...

"Helpful, but the bad alerts messed up my plans"
Some of the alerts are spot on, but I still get loads that are nowhere near my area or don’t match my role at all. It’s frustrating because I’ve actually changed my plans a couple of times thinking something relevant came through, only to realize it was useless for me. It’s still helpful overall, but it definitely needs some tuning.
